“The Master and Margarita” – by Mikhail Bulgakov

by on Oct.31, 2011, under Book

Three sentence summary: Devilish pranks with various severity and impact upon a contemporary Moscow and it’s citizens create room for reflection about the innocent, good, naive and evil. Moscow and the various characters are portrayed Dostoyevsky-style deeply colorful but without judgement. The vast space for essence interpretation enables an uninfluenced individual reflection on the definition and origin of evil.

Great people talk about…

by on Oct.31, 2011, under Sociopol, Thought

Found this image on the web and couldn’t help utterly agreeing with its distinction of topic conversations. Next time you find yourself discussing something with your acquaintances let them lead the dialogue to find out the level of contribution to humanity and its evolution that you might have in front of you. Most often my conversations “climb upwards” where the parties initially cover the fundamental and primitive to later in the evening end up reviewing visions, philosophies and dreams. So don´t give up to soon! Most of us are by nature positively biased towards such a development – it’s the individuals that get stuck at the “bottom” the you have to watch out for :).

Green web design

by on Oct.31, 2011, under Tech, Thought

“Image displayed is primarily a function of the user’s color settings and desktop graphics, as well as the color and size of open application windows; a given monitor requires more power to display a white (or light) screen than a black (or dark) screen.” Roberson et al, 2002.

Hence the dark theme of this website. Every little bit counts! It would not surprise me if we in a couple of years will se “green certifications” of websites that have environmentally conscious design. Perhaps with a negative, yet negligible trade-off towards user friendliness :).
